More About Coach Josh
I was the head JV and varsity assistant basketball coach for 2 years in NY. As the varsity assistant I was given the opportunity to run the defensive and choose the offensive sets as well as running most of the drills during practices. Have done training sessions through this app over 1 year now. Coaching modified basketball in AZ.
I played 4 years of college basketball at SUNY Brockport. The first year I attended Brockport I did not make the team. Coach said I needed to work on strength training, defense and ball handling. The following year, I had my first start and scored 18 points. This proved to the coaching staff and myself that I belong. During my junior and senior year I started every game. At the end of my career I ended up with the highest 3-point shooting percentage for a season at 52% and the highest 3-point shooting percentage for my career at 45%. Coming from a small school I have grown tremendously as a player and coach. My goal is to help athletes do the same.
Dynamic ball handling drills
Free lance warm up: 5 minutes on the clock. Work on moves you use in a game with the freedom to be creative.
Form shooting: 50-100 makes
Work on the athletes main moves [strengths] used in games (shoot free throws in between each drill)
Adapt those drills into game like scenarios (shoot free throws in between each drill)
Finish with a shooting game and free throws
(this is just a general outline..)

Not only is he an expert shooting coach. He’s an even better motivator for Kaden. I’m going to keep Kaden with him for as long as I can.

Josh is a great coach!! He is giving both of my kids a better understanding of basketball. He is able to adjust what he’s working on to each of their levels. He pushes them to challenge themselves while still keeping it fun and positive. I would recommend him to anyone interested in playing basketball!
