More About Coach Jose
I am a Running and S&C coach; coaching both disciplines at a high school level. I’ve also worked in corporate wellness centers in
Silicon Valley (NetApp &IBM) and in rehab clinics alongside Chiropractors and Physical Therapist. Currently, I’m an exercise physiologist at the San Antonio VA
Certifications: NSCA-CSCS, USATF- Track Coach I, FRC-Mobility Specialist.
A runner in high school I raced competitively in local 5ks-half marathons. I’ve also tried road bike racing but have gravitated to functional fitness in events such as Hyrox and Dekafit. Lastly, love endurance. I’ve done Rim2Rim at the Grand Canyon, this year I will attempt rim2rim2rim(44miles)
Movement proficiency is key. In order to optimize performance and decrease injury risk, proper biomechanics is paramount. I review your movements, work on your mobility weaknesses and prep you for the work to come.
During the following 30 mins we go hard whether your focus is strength building or metabolic conditioning(cardio or functional training)

Jose was a great running coach, helping me increase my speed on distance running. He has a deep set of exercises to work on various issues. One of the best things he shared with me was a core exercise training schedule tailored to what I'm trying to achieve. I have also adopted his warm-ups and stretches and use them every time I go running.
