More About Coach Jonathan
I am certified as a NASM-CPT and want to train you to meet your goals and needs for better health and lifestyle.
I taught tennis to various students of all ages ranging from 3-50+ years old. I prepared a specific exercise according to age group to observe and take note of area for improvement. The classes usually last about 1 hour at the convenience of the student. My schedule is as flexible as possible as well.
I instructed Tai-Chi in a small group to understand breathing techniques and form-related applications through combative and exercise theory.
I also enjoy activities such as the following:
TOUR DE CURE (100 miles), New York 2012 & 2013
13.1 NY - TEAM WORLD VISION (13 miles), 2011 & 2012
TEXAS ROUND-UP (5k), Austin, TX 2011
JP MORGAN CHASE (5K), 2008 & 2011
SUSAN G KOMEN (5k), Detroit 2009 & New York 2011
NEW YORK CITY CENTURY (100 miles), 2009 & 2010
TOUR DE BRONX (25 miles), 2009 & 2010
NEW YORK 5 BORO (45 miles), 2008
The benefits of running have helped my cardio and endurance. I improved my heart rate, learned a breathing pattern, keeping a pace and decreasing my time per mile. I ran a few distance events for charity. Before events I'd record my time while I trained and checked for improvements, tweaked the workouts. I also set goals in terms of faster times at the events. This helped motivate me to go the extra mile (no pun intended)

I wasn't an active runner, ran in two 5Ks (averaged around 10 minute miles) and one 4 mile run before I decided to sign up for the NYC Half Marathon. A bit over a month before the race, I began training with Jonathan. Jonathan is a very friendly and supportive running coach who worked around my schedule to meet me in the freezing cold to run laps around Central Park. If it wasn't for Jonathan I most likely would have not completed the non-stop 13.1 miles of the NY Half!
