More About Coach Melo

I started to coach in Italy when I was playing pro there 9 years ago. I’ve been coaching In Baltimore for the last 6 years club soccer and individual players helping the athletes achieve their full potential. Coaching all levels, from beginners to academy and college players.

I am a professional soccer player for the Baltimore Blast. I am originally from Brazil. I’ve been playing in Baltimore for the last 6 years. Played 8 years in Europe before I get transfer to US. For the Blast we won 3 National championships MASL. Also have 3 National Championships for Futsal for the Elite Utah futsal team.

My sessions are focus in helping players learn new techniques and get better in all
The aspects of the game. We work on gaining more confidence with the ball, better passing, first touch, developing new skills, 1x1, shooting, speed of play and much more. The sessions are intense and fun for players.

Coach Melo is a great coach and works very well with kids. My son (8) really enjoyed his training session and learned ok’ing forward to the next one. Melo worked with him on his ball control, footwork, passing and shooting skills and I could see my son’s confidence grow as the session went on. Melo is encouraging throughout the session and held my son accountable to make sure he performed all drills the right way and didn’t take any shortcuts.

Our first session with Coach Melo was amazing! His drills were engaging and focused on technical foot skills to help her develop. He made sure she understood and did the drills correctly, no cutting corners! We look forward to working with Coach Melo again soon!

Our 2 daughters had there first private lessons with coach Melo. We highly recommend if your looking to improve your skills and grow to be a better player it’s well worth it. He makes it fun and the interaction with the kids is top notch.

Our first session with Coach Melo was fantastic. He asked about my boys (ages 7 and 9) ahead of time and was prepared with drills to gauge their skill level. He kept them moving and had the perfect balance of encouragement and challenge. My sons said afterward it was the hardest practice they’ve ever had, but can’t wait for the next session!

Coach Melo provided very systematic and consistent training. He was able to demand and at the same time inspire confidence in the trainees. This was very important considering that this was the first lesson. The boys enjoyed the practice very much. Great experience.
