More About Coach John

I have worked at both the High School and Junior College level teaching proper sprinting mechanics, agility, weight lifting mechanics and conditioning techniques.

I played 5 sports growing up, baseball, basketball, soccer, football and golf. I played football at a junior college in Northern California, Diablo Valley College. I never was a big guy, and the reality is I am a better coach than I am an athlete. I am gifted to see the potential in others and push them in that direction.

Initially, all athletes will go through a movement screening, a readiness questionnaire, and discussion with me in person about their goals to see if we are a good fit. During each of our sessions, we will go through the program I have written for that individual. My programs are all based on the fundamentals of being a great moving athlete and what the person in front of me needs. We will go through mobility tactics and work on every single movement pattern weakness you have, and then we dive into explosive, dynamic movements that athletes need to prepare for. After dynamic and explosive movements, we will focus on strength training and readying the body for competition. The modern day athlete needs to understand what it takes to make it to the next level as well as monitor their bodies appropriately to avoid injuries, over exertion and mentally prepare for this journey.
