More About Coach John
I have trained and worked with professional, college, and high school athletes in football, basketball, and boxing. I typical work with ages 7-22 years old. I'm a certificate High School Football coach and USA Boxing coach.
I played college football at Azusa Pacific and professional arena football for the San Angelo Stampede in Texas. In addition, I ran track and field in college. I'm a register USA boxer and coach. While in college, I received Special Team Player of the year in football. Also, I was voted 1st Team All Western League as a defensive back.
I focus on fundamentals and player development. With fundamentals we work on fast twitch speed enhancement and position specific drills. With player development we talk about why we do certain movement and drills. Workouts consists of warm-ups and dynamic stretches, followed by fast twitch speed enhancement drills (parachute, and resistance bands). Next, we work on agility drills (ladder, and cones), followed by position related drill and ending with a cool down.
