More About Coach Jimmie

I played Football for 10 years: 2 years of Middle School, 4 years of High School at David W. Carter, and 4 years at Jackson State University. My positions were starting fullback and 2nd team linebacker.

I am currently the Defensive Coordinator of a Semi-pro Football team of Waxahachie and I have been training athletes in speed and endurance for 14+ years. I started coaching in 1997 as an assistant coach at Spruce High School in Dallas. I train athletes from ages 13 years and up. I also train athletes interested in getting to the next level. All sports demand speed and endurance. I incorporate track and football exercises to establish greatness.

My high school experience at David W. Carter HS shaped my attitude toward hard work at an early age. Coach Freddie James put the work ethic deep within me. I was a Fullback blocking for the number 1 runningback in the country at that time,Darren Lewis. I then received a scholarship to Jackson State University to block for another great running back, Lewis Tillman. Who was later drafted by the New York Giants. Jackson State, from 1985-1990,won the SWAC championship. I have always been blessed to be in the presence of great athletes. Put the work in at practice, and shine on game day. Injured my senior year and could not play anymore. My objective is to give my passion back to the youth.

Day 1- First hit the field and run a lap. Then a 15-30 session of stretching. Next, at 75-85 percent, 4-100's. Down and back = 1. 100 yds A-skit, 100 yds bearcrawl and finish with 100 yds lunges.

Then I evaluate where an athlete is and put a 6 week plan together, workouts and meal plans.
