More About Coach Jeremiah

I am in my 5th year of basketball training. My mission is to bring the best out of any individual whom I may be working with. I am very BIG on scholarships. I encourage all my players to do exceedingly well academically in school so that parents don't have to worry about loans and tuition and if they can obtain a scholarship being an athlete then more props to you. It won't come easy but if you are willing to learn, be consistent, and build a SOLID foundation for success playing the game of basketball then anything is possible. I have a good success rate on players that have worked with me, being able to go above and beyond there expectations playing for the team of there choice. I trained many guards on the high school level from schools such as Wings Academy, St. Raymond H.S for Boys, Bishop Loughlin, St. Anthonys, Boys and Girls, etc. I also trained many guards on the collegiate level from the University of Hartford, Weber State, Wichita State, UConn, Delaware State, Morehead State, Gardner Webb, Manhattan College, Kennesaw State, Niagara University, Temple University, Fordham University and Portland State University. Also, got the opportunity to work with many overseas players. When one of your clients do well and receive good news its always a great feeling. One of my clients was blessed with an invitation to play with the Utah Jazz Summer League and another current plays in the G League for the Charlotte Hornets. I work with all age groups as I respect and acknowledge anyone willing to get better, the opportunity to workout with me.

I won a city championship with St. Raymond for Boys H.S. in 2009. After my high school career, I did compete on the collegiate level playing on the Men's Basketball team at the University of Hartford for 2 years (2012-2014). America East Academic Honor Roll (2012-2013). Grades are very important, remember you are a student first and an athlete second. As an athlete many outside looking in don't understand the struggles one goes through as it is a very long year for us. To achieve something such as that is why I included that aspect of my life to instill in the future that education is important.

The client can expect a little bit of everything depending on the level of interest and area in specific you as the individual would want covered. First and foremost, we will begin with a stretch. It is very important and something a lot of athletes' lack. Followed will be a segment of strength and conditioning mixed in with a series of footwork, speed and agility, balancing, explosiveness and much more (ONLY included in the 2-hour session but if decided by yourself to add that into session, speak with myself and proper changes will be made to workout). Upon completion, we will make our way down to the court where the player will be put through a variety of different skill sets based on the aspect decided on for the day. I do a good job of being well-rounded and am willing to teach any aspect of the game from defense, offense, moving without the ball, etc. The more reps you get, the better you'll become as a player! Once the session is over, we will cool down with a final stretch. A part of being a good trainer, I believe is to connect with your players; Being able to give feedback geared towards motivating, challenging, directing and supporting players on their journeys to becoming great. So…to conclude we will debrief.

Coach Jeremiah has been working with my son for a few sessions. He pushes and encourages my son to give his all. He doesn't just cover basic basketball drills, he covers the essential tools that are needed to take your game to the next level. Warm up, stretching, strength training and calisthenics are all covered. Coach Jeremiah defiinitely offers a full, well rounded package that is comprised of different drills and exercises each session.

If I need a true point guard to a run my team, I'm picking up Jeremiah Aska. He understands the game and has a crazy work ethic. I wish I knew him sooner so I could've took him under my wing.
