More About Coach Jay

I have coached a wide range of athletes; some have included marathon and trail runners, Crossfit athletes, obstacle racers, swimmers, cyclists, and weight lifters. I have worked at small fitness studios. Now I run my own business where I train people in their own homes, remotely, and at two facilities. I am a certified personal trainer, wellness coach, lifestyle coach, and have other certifications.

Since 2014 I have been focused on Crossfit and Obstacle Course Racing (OCR)/trail/adventure racing. Finished 4th in a MA Crossfit competition. I have completed more than 30 OCR/trail/adventure races in the last couple years. This year I have completed three distances longer than a marathon trail running/racing, including a 12 hour over night obstacle course race. I am training for a 24 hour obstacle course race in November.

After assessing the client's needs and goals I will design an appropriate and comprehensive plan. Sessions included proper warmups, mobility and flexibility, movement mechanics, strength, muscular endurance, plyometrics, and metobolic (conditioning) training. What we cover in a session is dependent on the individual and their goals.
