More About Coach Jason

I have coached tennis from a young age for about 5 years. I have been privately coaching individuals who contact me for years now. I focus on form and correcting matchplay decisions. I have worked with mainly kids ages 5-20, however this will translate well to any age. I have interned as an assistant high school coach for my old high school team as well. I also have speciality in weight training and lifting. I am NASM certified and have been weight lifting for 5 years as well to help my tennis game. I am PTR certified for tennis as well. I have worked at the executive sports center in Manchester New Hampshire. As well as for granite state kids. Most recently I worked for the Nick Wagner tennis academy. This was everyday for 15 weeks over the summer from 8-3:30. Including traveling with the players on weekends.

I am currently a captain on my division 2 tennis team. As a junior player I went to USTA Nationals 2 times and won the national sportsmanship award. I have also won 2 regional sportsmanship awards as well. I went to WTT nationals as well which was in San Diego. I also won the Iron Knight award from my college voted on by my teammates. This award means that I was the hardest working and improved the most over the year. My freshman year of college I went 17-5 and was 2 wins away from breaking the school record for most wins during a season however Covid canceled our season and we had 10 matches left.

A typical session would consist of me would look at their strokes to see if there are inefficiencies that can be fixed throughout the time we are together. Then I would ask them to possibly play a match against me or show me them playing a real match. This way I could get a sense of what level they are at and what they need to do to improve. Hopefully then this cycle would continue repeating with more things to work on as they get better and more advanced. I would also focus on their mindset as a player. Ley out goals that they want to happen and help them make those goals. This way it gives me as the coach a better understanding of what they need to do to reach their goals.
