More About Coach J.C.

I began coaching lacrosse right after graduating from Bucknell University. I coached at St. Johns College High School and was a defensive assistant. I also coached youth lacrosse in the Washington D.C. area as well. In addition, I have coached at a camp in Maine for the summer working with kids of all ages.

Currently, I work full-time as a physical therapist treating and rehabilitating athletes young and old.

I played lacrosse for a private school in CT in High School, where I earned High School All-American honors in 1997 and was Defensive player of the league as well for the Western New England Prep School league.

I was recruited to play at Bucknell University, where I was a 4 year starter and captain my senior year earning Pre-season All-American honors in 2000 and 1st team All-league honors in 2001. Bucknell won the Patriot League in 2001 and we played Notre Dame in the first round of the NCAA Mens D1 lacrosse tournament.

Since, graduating, I was invited to tryout for the MLL, and played open club in DC and Baltimore. I am currently playing Masters lacrosse locally.

Being a physical therapist as well, so I bring a unique prospective of body movement or neuromuscular training for the athlete ahead of use of the stick, especially for defensive drills. This is essential for a solid foundation of defensive play in lacrosse. In addition, use of stick skills, takeaway options for advanced athletes and gameplay with speed training is an essential component.

Most importantly, lets have some fun. This game is fun and learning to play even more rewarding whatever the goal or skill level.
