Ishmael S.

I have been playing the game of basketball for over 15 years and am currently continuing my basketball career overseas. Over this time I have mentored and coached many kids ranging from ages 5-18, including assistant coaching at Wiregrass Ranch High School. My expert skillset and relentless drive is what sets me a part from the rest. During my offseason, I love to teach kids the game that I adore so much in effort to help them understand the game better and become the best basketball player they aspire to be.

I competed at Carson Newman University (D2) in Knoxville Tennessee for 4 years. I became the all time leading scorer in school history. Adding to that I am the school holder in most 3 pointers in a career, season, and in one game. I was all freshman team and First-Team All Conference 3 years. I hold the conference record in most points in a game with 51pts my freshman year.

Professionally I have played in Australia, Spain, & Kosovo. Most recently in Australia we won the championship for the first time in 10 years where I was awarded finals MVP and season MVP and averaged 27ppg. I led the league in overall points with 833 and made 3's. My previous year in Spain I was the teams leading scorer averaging 25ppg and led the team the the playoffs for the first time in 5 years. Also led the league in made 3's with 100.

I focus on the fundamentals first. I love to build that structure before going into more advanced drills (depending on skill level). A typical session from me you can expect to be fun and energetic, getting better is always exciting to me. On top of having fun I stress "game speed" during drills. We are here to get better and thats what I intend to help do or I am not doing my part as a coach.
