I was a Collegiate Division 1 player at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to that, I was a high school national champion at Montverde Academy. Growing up, I played in the Philippines, Malaysia, Gabon, and Venezuela.
Each player will have an individualized short and long term training plan built out for their positional and personal needs. This will be constructed following the mandatory online pre-training meeting where I will learn more about who you are and what goals you have in the game of soccer.

First of all, I think that the CoachUp experience is great in getting some responses for a coach. The option to have your request go out to several coaches increases the percentage of finding what you are looking for in a coach and also for times that will work for your player and also for the coach. My son has an upcoming Showcase Tourney this weekend and we were able to schedule our first session with Grant for some additional prep work. Grant was able to give my son who plays at the U18 level some additional pointers on his shooting and what he could work on in terms of his shot with either foot and not just with his dominant shooting foot. One of the things that my son kept repeating when I asked him how the experience was that they "connected" which I thought that was great! Even if Grant roots for Liverpool and my son is a Barca fanatic, they still worked well together...lol. Grant was also very responsive in getting a session scheduled before the tourney this week during a time that worked for us. He also said that my son could text after games if he was having a bad shooting game to discuss what happened and Grant said he would give him some recommendations. He also gave Josh some drills that we can work on together, so even after a session, we can continue to work on what they did to improve. I look forward to scheduling more time with Grant to coach my son and also my daughter who is going to be trying out for her high school team in the fall. Thanks for a great first experience Coach Grant!
