More About Coach Garrett
I have been a travel ball coach & Hitting/catching instructor for 6 years now with Lions Baseball Academy in Arlington/Mansfield, working with players from 5 y/o to 18 y/o. My final semester of college I was the Student Assistant at Texas College, in Tyler, TX. I currently coach a Select group of 14u boys along with the Middle School group at the Oakridge School in Arlington.
I played 4 years in college (Brookhaven College & then Oklahoma Christian University) and then got a year of college coaching in as the Student Assistant at Texas College where I finished my final semester.
In a typical session I will assess the players fundamentals for a few minutes to pinpoint what we can improve on for that time period. There will usually be 2 or 3 things we can lock in on during our time so we can start molding the correct fundamentals to be second nature without overloading the player.
