More About Coach Frankie

As an ex-college athlete I have a copious amount of experience/knowledge of the game that I am excited to teach to the new generation of softball. I have spent the past 15 years playing softball and have been around coaches of all sorts. Through years of experience I have managed to learn various drills in all capacity of softball and several training mechanisms. I have worked with all ages from 6u- the collegiate level. I currently am a head coach for a local 14u team as well.

4-year starting catcher at San Diego State University with experience in the Outfield as well. Leader in doubles.
- 2x all mountain-west conference
- 2x coaches award ( MVP)
- 4x High School all-league
- 3x All-City
- High School MVP
- Various travel ball rewards and invitations

A typical session will vary greatly depending on what skills the athlete is looking to obtain. Each session will be filled with detailed explanations on technique/ form ect. There will be constant hard work and new drills each session. Sessions will include several skills including; catching, hitting, infield, outfield, footwork, tennis ball drills, conditioning. An example of a catching session:
1. Warm-up
2. Throwing drills ( quick feet, ball straight to ear, hard snap down, throwing from knees, staying on straight line ect)
3. Ladder drills incorporated with a variety of quick feet movements such as blocking, past balls, fielding bunts ect.
4. Leg work ( wall sits, duck walks, squats) with conditioning after
5. Framing
Each session will be fast-paced with several tools involved including; ladders, cones, tennis balls ect. I will push my athletes to their fullest potential while also providing in-depth instruction.
