More About Coach Ethan

I have extensive experience coaching kids between the ages of 8-13 at a baseball camp teaching kids 1 on 1 and in a group setting. I also have experience coaching players at the high school level (ages 14-18) assisting my high school head coach. I am CPR/AED certified.

I played at the high school varsity level all 4 years earning 1st team all-league honors as an Infielder/Pitcher 3 years in a row sophomore-senior year. As well as earning 3rd team all-county my senior year. I received MVP of my team junior and senior year along with being named best all around male athlete my senior year. I went on to play 4 years at the collegiate level at NCAA D3 Mitchell College in New London, CT. I was named 1st team all-conference my sophomore year as an outfielder leading my team to a conference championship. I have experience playing all positions.

A typical session would always start with proper stretching to warmup/loosen the body. Then I would discuss with the client their goals and the positions they play in order to start discussing proper mechanics. Throwing mechanics/techniques would include discussing and breaking down proper release point, arm angle and foot placement in order to be in good throwing position. Hitting mechanics would include hitting off a tee and soft toss to break down every part of the swing to insure good hitting technique. I would also teach base running which would include proper leads and the correct way to round the bases as well as overall conditioning involving cone and ladder drills.

After working with Ethan and fine tuning the details, he implemented some new strategies and improved his accuracy enough to lead his 4th place team to a shot at the championship game, striking out 12 batters in 4 innings and only giving up one hit.
