I have been running athletics classes (track and field, fitness and relay racing) with various organizations for the past 10 years.
I was the Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Bentley High School in Lafayette, CA in 2013.
I taught middle school P.E and coached the basketball and volleyball teams in Berkeley, CA from 2012 -2014.
I have trained friends and family in Track and Field and fitness and also created athletic contests around football, basketball and track for many years.

- 10 Time High School Letterman in Football, Basketball and Track at Acalanes High School in Lafayette, CA.
- All Area WR and DB as Jr and Sr. MVP of Football, Basketball and Track team at various stages.
- Scout Team MVP of Cal Football team, 1998.

First and foremost I will understand what the clients goals are. I want to get a thorough understanding of their athletic history through discussion and Q&A. I want to get to know what they have done with their current and past coaches, family and friends etc. The workout will break up into a combination of warm ups, track specific exercises, and interval running sessions. They will be customized towards the athletes skill level, goals and the events they compete in. I plan on logging the activity so I can measure the data with the athlete. In high school some of our coaches would run and work out with us, so dependent upon the athlete and session I will look to work out with the athlete to build camaraderie, work rate and respect. I will consistently communicate with them and ask them what their needs and goals are so I can be of service to the best of my ability. My sessions can range from someone who just wants to get fitter or faster or have more endurance, to someone who is looking to compete at the Collegiate or professional level. Safety and health will always come first. Also, I will be an improving coach. I will research before and after sessions and tailor their curriculum to what exercises and coaching techniques might be best. With my pedigree and passion for sport I have good judgement when it comes to best practice, comfort and improvement. My goal will be to build the confidence and self esteem of the athlete, while improving and having fun. It will be a long term goal too, where they are invested in the process, and feel like a leader and have ownership of sorts in their own program.

Eric is a great coach! We had the best workout today. He was also really passionate about my goals and how to push me while making it fun! We used a rugby ball, tennis balls, footballs and a speed ladder for our interval track workouts. So cool! I felt like he was coaching me but also like we were teammates. It was an experience and really awesome. I'm excited for the next session and recommend him to all types of athletes.
