More About Coach Drew

I started off training and mentoring an athlete at the age of 12 and is now 15 still work with him from time to time, as his aspiration is to play soccer professionally, but now plays for Inter Miami’s Academy team. We work on his technical skill, strength training, any muscle imbalances he may have and endurance when I train him. I was an intern at Counsourse Athletic Club for 6 months as a personal trainer. I currently work at RedLine Athletics and we focus on training individuals in youth sports and helping them become not only better at their sport, but better athletes. I am focusing on working with athletes that are serious about getting better and have goals to reach. I am a fusionetics practitioner, certified sports performance specialist and currently working on a certification in Tactical Strength and Conditionig

I was awarded MVP at the SoccerFeva Tournament in Jamaica, which is where I am originally from. I was invited to a soccer ID camp at Princeton University. From ages 12 to 14, I trained with Valencia CF Academy Coaches and in the final year I was offered a scholarship from Valencia CF Academy in Spain to focus on a professional track. A few years later I was recruited by IMG Academy and they offered me a scholarship. During my time there I was recruited by Saint Leo, Samford, Belmont Abbey, Arcadia and Florida Atlantic, but chose to commit to Saint Leo.

After doing a physical evaluation and having a discussion with the athlete, I will create a custom program based on the information I collect. Before every session starts they will spend 10 -15 minutes foam rolling (myofascial release). We’ll then go through mobilization and any corrective exercises the athlete may need, followed by a dynamic warm up. Every session will have a focus, which means we could be working on speed/acceleration, reaction time and lower body. At the end of every session the athlete will stretch.
