More About Coach Doron

I have over 15 years of experience in the fitness and sports industry working as a certified performance coach since 2003. I am a former collegiate athlete (football) having played at Bethune-Cookman University and the University of South Carolina as both a wide receiver and defensive back. As a fitness trainer, I have worked a wide range of age groups from 8 years old to 73 years old. However, I like to work with individuals seeking to improve their athletic performances by increasing strength, power, speed, agility, mobility, and mental fortitude.

I currently hold a Master of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Counseling and a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthy Lifestyle Coaching. Additionally, I have the following associated certifications: USA Weightlifting Coach Level-1 (United States Olympic Committee), Performance Enhancement Specialist (National Academy of Sports Medicine), Sport and Exercise Psychology Certificate (Cal State University of Dominguez Hills), and Nutrition and Wellness Consultant (AFPA).

In high school, I earned the team's most valuable wide receiver award and won the 100-meter dash in the lower state championship for the state of South Carolina. In addition, I also helped the 4x100 relay team win the lower state championship as I ran the first leg of the relay. In college, I played sparingly at Bethune-Cookman University as a wide receiver and return specialist before transferring to the University of South Carolina and walking onto the football team. In 2014, I was named one of the 8 finalists for Men's Health Next Top Trainer competition.

Currently, I am the head strength and conditioning coach for a high school football program in Burbank, CA, while also working with athletes in a private sector.

Each session will vary depending on the goals and progress of the client, but will always include resistance weight training and some dynamic functional movements to better prepare the athlete for their respective sport. In a session with me, clients can expect to start each session with some mindfulness exercises such as positive visualization, deep breathing techniques, and positive self-talk to prepare the mind for an intense session. We will then execute some bioenergetics exercises to help alleviate any stress or tension.
