More About Coach Donnell

My key experience and which I find to be most critical is that I have recently finished a playing career myself. I have learned a lot over the years just from me being apart of different football programs and learning from others. I hold 7 on 7 tourneys in denver colorado that are mostly compiled of athelets i have trained just to see them compete. I have volunteered coach at team camps at the university of Akron and colorado State university and had to create drills and other completion drills for these athletes. I started originally training athletes while I was still in college and moved forward with my professional career. I did not have a facility I just used my resources I had on hand. I have helped athletes with speed, footwork, strength and conditioning, and most importantly mentoring these athletes. I feel that is is important to be a person that has lived what most athlete look to accomplish. I have coached youth, high school, and college athletes. I have worked as a trainer at Xplosive athletics and currently work at Inner Grind in Stafford Texas . Coaching experience was all volunteer work to get my feet under me and make connections. I went back to my old high schools blue springs south and Grandview and got a group of athletes together and we spoke about goals and how to achieve them and also worked them out and taught technique and worked on their craft. Most of my experience came recently while I was out the country in Mexico playing football. I became apart of a team called the pumitas in which I helped coach the running backs. This was a learning experience for me as well as There was a language barrier. Pumitas is a club football team that goes from flag youth football up until high school. I worked with all age levels and held camps on the weekends for this club and many others which consisted of skills and position training. There is no age limit I will not work with. I believe it is never to early to get an athlete prepared for his career. With that being said I have worked with all ages 5+. I spend more time with high school and college athletes, these athletes are typically preparing for college while the college athletes are preparing for the professional level and I am here to help.
.

I received a full ride scholarship to play division 1 football at Colorado state University. I was ranked in the nation and state in high school. Broke many records in high school, all state, all district, all conference, and went on to college and won honorable mention as a running back and all conference returner. Voted a team captain, won 2 bowl games. I was fortunate to get an opportunity to play for the Kansas City chiefs briefly and play overseas for a season.

A typical session with me you can expect to work extremely hard but also learn the effective way to do things. The drills will be intense, fast and efficient. We work on critical keys that help make you a better athlete on the field. SPEED is very important at any level, and that will be something that is focused on daily in my routines. I expect all drills to be full speed, to play fast you must train to be fast. Footwork is another important aspect. These footwork drills will always help you be more effective on the field. I focus on putting your foot in the ground, eliminating wasted steps to be most effective, and transitioning with speed and fluidity.
