I have been working as the Varsity Boys Indoor Track coach at a local high school for the past 4 years. In this capacity, I have coached multiple conference all stars, including a conference third place finisher in the 2 mile, who improved his time nearly 2 minutes in the 2 years that he worked with me (from 12:40 to 10:50). In addition to this experience, I was the Assistant Cross Country Coach and compliance coordinator for a NJCAA Division III school for one season (2012). I have worked with a number of friends and family members to train them for distances ranging from the 10k through marathon.

I competed at the NCAA Division II level in both Cross Country and Track & Field. Since leaving college, I have completed numerous half marathons (PR - 1:23:55), 5 marathons (3:41:11), and various other distances. I have also been an active triathlete for 6 years, completing 5 Ironmans (PR - 11:19:32), and 10 Half Ironmans (PR - 4:35:59) including a qualification to the 2017 Ironman 70.3 World Championship.

Sessions with me will primarily be focused on developing a longer term training plan towards your goals. The majority of the coaching that I will provide will be in the development of a longer term plan. Whether this goal is simply to run a mile without walking, qualify for the Boston Marathon, or work towards any other goal that you may have, it is likely this goal will not be accomplished in one session.

However, if you prefer to simply work together for single track workout sessions, all workouts will begin with a dynamic warm up designed to prepare your body for the rigors of the upcoming workout. It will conclude with a brief cool down, including foam rolling and static stretching to aid in the recovery process. In between will be a quality session specifically designed to improve the type of speed most important to your goals.
