More About Coach Devonte

Coached at ages 5-18. I've coached recreational league and college intramural so far. Numerous soccer camps at Oregon State University, UTSA, and elementary schools. I work with all ages ranging from 4-18. I'm very flexible in scheduling, and with different playing status (recreational/competitive).

I am a Former US Mens National team player. I played D1 soccer at Oregon State University for 4 years as a forward/winger. I played for the Portland Timbers U23 squad. I also played 1 year pro in Iceland. I've been around top quality soccer for a long time and know what it takes to develop a player. I've learned my soccer knowledge through playing, watching, and coaching.

I like to help focus on ball control, dribbling, passing, speed, agility, 1v1 situations and technique in striking a ball. I have a lot of drills and exercises that are both demanding and fun, but most importantly, they are effective.

Excellent

We had a fantastic first session with Devonte. First I want to acknowledge that not all great players make good coaches, particularly when coaching children. My six grader can be a bit timid. Devonte did a great job mixing great soccer lessons with conversation that helped build a rapport. I could see the light bulb click for my son on things he had been trying to improve upon. So much good stuff came out of this one hour session! Within five minutes of getting in the car leave my son was asking when the next session was. Highly recommend!

Coach Devonte was awesome! My grandson just turned 5 and is extremely shy and reserved. He engaged with the coach right away and really tried his best. Wow - normally he would have stood there with his head tucked down. The coach really knows his stuff and how to work with kids. I would definitely recommend Coach Devonte.

He was very helpful for my son and he enjoyed what he was able to show him

Great coach! My daughter trained just once, but he knew right away her weaknesses & what drills she needed. We will definitely be training again with him and highly recommend him!

We love how coach Devonte explains step by step. He does not overlook the smallest detail. He worked with my daughter until she fully understood the drill. He was on time and wasted no time getting into training! I would recommend Coach Devonte to anyone. Great Job!!!!
