More About Coach David

I am currently an Associate Baseball Coach at Emory University and Head Baseball Coach of the Watertown Rapids in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League. I was previously an Assistant Coach at Cornell University. Prior to that, I was the Assistant Baseball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Muhlenberg College. I also worked at Triple Crown Academy as a pitching and hitting instructor for their classes. I have worked with kids from 8 years old all the way through high school seniors looking to develop their game to appeal to colleges.

I played two years of professional baseball after graduating in 2015, playing the 2016 season in both the Atlantic and Can-Am Leagues before having my season cut short by injury. I was signed by the Bridgeport Bluefish in August of the 2015 season and began the 2016 season with them as well before being traded to the New Jersey Jackals of the Can-Am League in late June.

I played college baseball at Muhlenberg College and was a three year starter for the Mules. Prior to that, I played 4 years of varsity baseball at Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, NY.

Each session plan after the first varies individually based on the evaluation and needs of each player, as well as what they personally desire to work on. However, I generally begin by taking them through an advanced stretching routine and band series that both collegiate and professional players follow. We will then go through mechanical work, followed by drill work, and end with live reps. This is generally the model whether the session is based on pitching, hitting, and/or fielding. The session will conclude with an evaluation period as well as a goal for the player to achieve leading up to the next lesson. An action plan will be developed collectively with the player to identify how the goal will be achieved!
