More About Coach Daniel

I have been working as a tennis instructor since 2006. I began working tennis summer camps during my college breaks. After college I decided to become a coach full-time and I have worked mostly for Lifetime Racquet Sports. Recently, I have started working for TGA of Southern Westchester as a Lead Coach. I have worked with players from beginner to advanced level of all ages. I have taught in private, group, and camp settings and have run several camps. I am certified by the USPTA and have an Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

In high school I was captain of the varsity tennis team my senior year. As a junior I won the conference championship in doubles and as a senior I won in singles.

As a tennis professional I am always striving to provide the best possible match play and skill instruction to all of my clients. I offer professional, personalized, and performance oriented lessons. My goal is to instill confidence and provide encouragement for all my clients in order to help them develop into the tennis player they wish to become. Here are several highlights of my job performance that have helped to bring in new clients and keep them returning for future lessons:

-Provide skills instruction and motivational coaching in individual and group lessons.
-Set goals for future performance and monitor progress.
-Create a fun and safe environment with attentive support for children.
-Answer questions, provide feedback, and otherwise communicate with parents, as appropriate.

Daniel is friendly and helpful!

I am really enjoying working with Coach Daniel. I've met with him three times so far and I can already feel the improvement in my game and confidence. He has continued to show me new ways to improve week after week and I'm having a lot of fun, getting a great workout, and definitely getting better at tennis! In addition, he is very responsive, easy to schedule with, always on time, and works at several different great facilities to play at.

I haven't played tennis in years and I had a great lesson with Daniel. I forgot how much I love to play. I will definitely be booking more lessons. I told Daniel that I was out of shape and that I would need to ease into things. He made me feel comfortable. I did not feel pressured to do more. It was a very balanced lesson. Perfect for my first day back in a long time.

Great experience

Great lesson. My boyfriend and I played at different levels but Daniel was able to coach us both between a solid combination of drills and match play!

Daniel was a perfect fit for our family
Great tone and manner plus very good teaching skills

Daniel was a great coach!
I would recommend him

My daughter loved her first lesson. Daniel is a great teacher, very nice and professional! She loves him!
This lesson was for my 10 year old son who is a competition player. I watched the lesson and I thought Daniel was a fantastic coach. He was very patient and very knowledgeable with strategy plays, which is what we're looking for in a coach. I asked my son what he thought of the lesson and his answer was "he's a very good coach and I like him a lot" and I asked him to tell me further what "good" means and his answer was "he helped me to understand the timing of setting up of some shots and what to do to end the point". Daniel even gave my son homework to do after his match this weekend and I like that very much, because, reflection is an excellent way to learning. We look forward to our next session.
We originally hired Daniel to work with our 12-year-old daughter. She loved her lessons with him so we asked him to teach our six-year-old boy. Daniel always finds age-appropriate activities and my son has clearly improved tennis while thoroughly enjoys his lessons. Now he teaches the entire family since we, as parents, decided it would be nice to eventually play as a family. Daniel is always clear in his feedback and encouraging while giving us all a wonderful work out.
