More About Coach Daniel

I have been a professional goalkeeper for 10 years in Europe and I am now coaching as a part of the Success Academy Soccer program in the New York City area. I enjoy working with athletes of all ages. I am a part of the b1keeper International Academy and I am a certified coach by the Head of Goalkeeping at the academy.

I have participated on a professional level in Serbia, where I have played for various highest tier league teams, competing primarily on the national level. Besides soccer, I am a Master black belt Kyokushinkai karate, Triple Super-Heavyweight US champion in Kyokushin Kumite and I teach Mixed Martial Arts as well as self defense courses.

Depending on the age and skill level of the participants, I divide my sessions into drills tailored to their individual needs based on the curriculum from UEFA licensed coaches. For groups aged between 6 and 11, my main focus is on basic movement, coordination, distribution and physical preparation adapted to their age and posture. For participants between 12 and 15 years old, things I emphasize the most are core stability, positioning, crosses, 1 on 1 situations and basics of strength and fitness training. Finally, for everyone older, based on their skill level, experience and desired career goal, I focus on improving their strengths, eliminating their weaknesses and finally basics of tactical and most importantly mental preparation and composure.
