More About Coach Daniel
I have trained and coached athletes from the middle school level, all the way up to the Division I collegiate level. While I specialize in sprinting, I have worked with athletes from all sports. Previously I did strength and conditioning training at Dynamic Sport Performance, in Alexandria, VA, where I specialized in using kettlebells to develop both strength and speed for athletes. I am certified through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA), as well as a Certified Speed and Agility Coach (CSAC) from the National Sports Performance Agency (NSPA).
As a Division III collegiate sprinter, I obtained a school record of 10.42 in the 100m, and finished top 5 in school history in the 60m, Indoor 200m and Outdoor 200m. I was a 10x Individual Conference Champion and a 2023 NCAA DIII Outdoor National Qualifier.
A typical session involves going through a series of warmup and activation drills and movements, including a dynamic warmup, in order to prepare our body for the workout. That is then followed by a progression into whatever the focus is for that day is, whether it be a strength-based day, or a more power/speed focused day. A general outline would be warmup/activation drills, dynamic warmup, skill/power prep., main lifts, cool down.
