I am a former collegiate and High School Player. I have 9 years of coaching experience Coaching Young Athletes from Grades 2-8.
I am Certified in Level II US Lacrosse.I am also graduate of the On-line Positive Coaching Alliance: A national nonprofit organization committed to providing all Youth and High School Athletes a positive, character-building youth sports experience
I specialize in Lacrosse introduction grades 2-6 utilizing fun and progressive lacrosse drills that help build the fine motor skills needed to play Lacrosse. The skills learned in my drills will help your child transition into a competent and confident young player.
Stick skills, footwork, and proper body positioning are the fundamental elements needed to be a successful player. My sessions will cover all the basics so that even a first time player will feel confident taking the field.
Throwing, catching, cradling, dodging, scooping, shooting, and defense are skills that warrant error correction. I am someone with an eye for detection who can help.
I teach my players to honor the game and re-define "winner" in terms of mastery, not just the scoreboard. I try to use encouragement and positive reinforcement as my primary method of motivating.
