More About Coach Crystal
I have experience coaching and privately training athletes aged 8 years old through to collegiate athletes. I have worked with Washington Spirit Youth Soccer, Georgetown University soccer camps, Kickers United Soccer, Chicago Sockers, and for Wheaton Academy High school. I've worked at elite club and college levels and also worked with players just beginning their development. I enjoy working with all age groups and have significant experience with middle school and high school aged players.
Previously played on the U-23 United States Women's National Soccer Team Player Pool.
Previously played for the Washington Spirit professional soccer team.
In 2018 played professionally in Iceland for Valur FC.
Played for the U-20 United States Women's National Team.
Played for Georgetown University, team co-captain - 2014-2016 Made it to the NCAA College Cup, Scored the game winning goal in the Elite 8 game of the NCAA Championship, Won the Big East Championship, Big East All-Tournament Team 2015, Big East 2nd-team 2015 & 2016, Big East All-Academic Team.
Played for the University of Notre Dame 2012-2014, Big East Regular Season Champion, Made it to the Elite 8 of the NCAA tournament and scored a game winning goal in the NCAA tournament, led the team in goals as freshmen. Big East All-Rookie Team and Big East 2nd Team.
Won State Cup and Regionals at the club level.
Won the state championship with my high school, Wheaton Academy, and was a team captain.
Was captain of the Olympic Development Program Region 2 team for the 1994 age group.
A typical session will include a quick and effective warmup, small-sided technical work, speed work, and finishing - all with practical, tactical reasoning in mind. However, I cater each session to the specific needs and goals of my players. Some players want to become dangerous 1 v 1, others want to work on textured passing, and some want to work on defensive pressure. I produce well-rounded players using a variety of drills that include dribbling, passing, heading, finishing, running technique, fitness, and injury prevention. I also mentor players and steer them to other resources that can be beneficial to their game such as watching soccer and nutrition.
