More About Coach Cody

I have my coaching endorsement and license from Iowa as I coached a JV men's high school soccer team. This position was at Unity Christian in Orange City Iowa. I enjoyed coaching this age of high schoolers but love to work with all age groups and all ability.

I have played soccer since I was three and played 4 years at the collegiate level. In high school, I was a state champion 3 times and had 1st team all-state honors for two seasons. Also, in high school, I was awarded 1st team National Christian School Athletic Association (NCSAA) for 2 seasons. I attended Dordt College in Sioux Center, IA and was a four-year starter. My Sophmore and Senior year I was awarded 2nd team all-conference in the GPAC and my Junior year I earned Honorable Mention.

The first couple sessions will be based on drills that analyses where each person is at so I can see what I believe they need to improve on. On top of this, it will involve getting to know them as a person and player so I can identify what kind of player they are or want to be. This can be seen in simple passing drills, shooting, and dribbling. Once I see where the client is at I am able to make a more detailed plan that can help them improve quicker. I'll use a combination of drills they can't do on there own with some drills they can do on there own. During these sessions, the goal is to send them home each time with an emphasis for improvement and at least 2 drills they can do on there own to improve and self-check themselves with if they are doing the drill/technique correctly.
