More About Coach Clay
I have 8 years experience coaching at the Jr. high and High School level. I was the head Jr high boys basketball coach at Coosa Christian School in Gadsden, Alabama from 2008-2016, as well as being a Varsity assistant. I was the President and head Coach for the Gadsden Hoyas AAU program for Varsity boys from 2009-2018. Several of my players have gone on to play basketball at the collegiate level.
I was a 4 year Varsity starter at Coosa Christian High School and Emma Sansom High School in Gadsden, Alabama. Before that, in Jr. High I played on both the 7th and 8th grade teams as a 6th grader and helped lead the Coosa Christian Jr. high team to two NACA national championships in back to back years. As a starting Varsity point guard, I led my teams to 3 final fours at Coosa Christian, the Championship game in one year, and at Emma Sansom my senior year led my team to the sweet 16 in class 4A in Alabama playing alongside Dre Kirkpatrick (Cincinnati Bengals) and Jerrell Harris (University of Alabama). I was offered a athletic scholarship to Tennessee Temple University (NAIA) in Chattanooga, Tennessee where I played collegiate basketball.
My goal is to help athletes understand the game of basketball and compete at a high level. Being fundamentally sound is the base on which I will build athletes to getting to this goal.

Very professional, excellent demeanor with 14 year old player. Prepared with drills. Gave excellent coaching advice, encouraging, built confidence, he himself is a skilled player. Recommend him highly.

I would recommend Coach Clay if you would like to see your child improve in their basketball skills. My son will be completing his 10th session with Coach Clay. From the moment we met him we immediately felt comfortable with him. He is professional, well mannered, and highly skilled in his profession. He has helped my son tremendously! His training techniques are like none I have ever seen before. He utilizes different harnesses and drills to improve all around basketball skills. He was always prompt and eager to begin each session. Coach Clay is truly the best coach I have ever seen! I would urge any parents that would like to see their child's basketball skills dramatically excel to call Coach Clay.

Coach Clay is exactly what I was looking for to help me improve my game and boost my confidence. Although this was my first session, I know he will push me to get better. The positive motivations definitely helped when I needed it to push through my fatigue to finish all the drills. He also made a few corrections in my shot that I didn't even realize I was doing. I will definitely continue working with Coach Clay and I would highly recommend him to anyone that wants to put in work to improve their game.

After years playing basketball, my 15-year-old son got to a point he felt unsatisfied with his skill. It seemed he had reached the peak of his ability and began to fear what may happen if he didn't get some quality help. I honestly believe that Coach Clay was (and is) the perfect match for my son. He is polite, professional, and his sessions are impressive to watch. Coach Clay took the time to pay attention to my son's natural ball handling techniques and showed him ways to make his efforts more effective. He also worked to strengthen his body. Coach Clay is the complete package. It is evident that coaching is his true passion. After one session with him, my son has constantly been complimented on his level of improvement. My son is excited to play again! If you support the direction your child's athletic ability is going- Coach Clay is the right choice for you! Our only regret is that we didn't find him sooner. Thank you, Coach Clay, for being our blessing! See you soon!

My 7 year old son has only had one session so far. With that said I was impressed with how Coach Wilson was able to keep my son's attention and focus. By the end of the lesson the Coach had him handing the ball far better than I had imagined. During my son's next game my wife could tell his dribbling had improved. We are definitely looking forward to working with Coach Wilson in the future.
