More About Coach Bridgette

I currently train the women's club soccer team at CSU San Marcos in strength training. I am currently a running coach through CoachUp as well. I am able to work with any age group and can do group sessions as well. I am currently working on getting certified as a strength conditioning specialist.

I have done many different sports throughout my life so far. I have done, gymnastics, dance, soccer, cross country and track. I competed in cross country and track all 4 years of college at CSU San Marcos. I finished my cross country career in the top 10 girls for my team. In track I have ran on the second team for the 4x4 relay, and trained in the 800m, 1500m, 1 mile, 2 mile and marathon in the 11 years that I have competed in track and field.

Typically the first session with clients I like to do an assessment of what their goals are. For example, If someone is looking into become more fit all around. I will have them do different tasks, such as running to see how strong their cardio is. Might have them do push up to see where they are in regards to upper body strength, ect. From there, I can work with the client to create a plan that works best with them and their goals. Since I do not own my own equipment yet, a lot of work outs I create are using body weight. I also like doing this because I can them create work out sessions for clients for days they do no meet with me. They can be done anywhere.

Coach Jackson was very patient and very knowledgeable about her job. I’ve had two sessions with Bridgette and I’m extremely happy with her. Not only is she near by, she’s flexible and affordable!! I don’t feel like I’m a bad runner when I run next to her. Our first session was a run for time session. I didn’t think I ran very far however she quickly noticed I needed to work on pack g. My second session we did just that... almost 5 miles of pacing!

If your interested in improving your running and speed , I’d recommend coach Bridgette. She is an amazing running coach. She helped my son analyzed his running style and help fix and optimize it. She works with him and tailors her instructions based on the distance , frequency and type of running . My son said that he is already seeing improvements in the way he run which were majority flawed and inefficient.
My son is Looking forward for his next session. Tomorrow will be his 5th week with coach Bridgette.

I was referred to Coach Bridget by a friend whose daughter also plays softball. I was in search of someone local to help with my daughter improve her speed and agility, but had a certain budget to work with. Coach Bridgette was very thorough with my daughter’s assessment. During my daughter’s hour with her, Coach Bridgette had her perform a series of drills to help improve her speed, agility and strength. She even explained the purpose of each drill at a level my daughter would understand. I was happy with our session with her.

Bridgette is wonderful! She was able to help me from being a super beginner (never really ran in my life), to running 3-5 miles consistently. When I met her, she said, "we will have you running three miles straight in no time" and I didn't believe her, but she was right! She knows how to push and encourage you, but also knows your limits. She is great at holding you accountable, she is kind, and all around a great coach!

My 12 year old just had her first session with Bridget. She has been wanting to increase her speed on the base path in softball. Bridget was awesome! My daughter enjoyed working with her and Bridget gave her some drills to work on at home. I highly recommend Coach Bridget.

Coach Bridgette has transformed my 15 year old son into a solid runner. She implements great techniques from her competitive racing background and strength and conditioning training.

This review is a long time pending. I started with Coach Bridgette back in April of 2016. I had suffered a setback with my health in the beginning of the year after being overdosed by my doctors and my body had negatively reacted leading to anemia, pre-diabetes, extreme fatigue and a host of other issues. I realized that it was my last chance to fight back and regain my strength. I approached Coach Bridgette with the goal of running a marathon! After our initial meeting she assessed my status and suggested that I try running a 5K first. When we first met I could hardly run for 2 minutes. I recently finished my first 5K in 36 minutes. Every session with her involved running and strength building exercises. She gave me the much needed push and encouragement every time we met and I was gradually able to increase my running time from less than 2 minutes to 45 mins. She prepared a schedule for me to ensure that I would be ready for my 5K. She really is very knowledgable about all exercises and how to do them correctly so that the right muscles are engaged. I am very glad to have met Coach Bridgette and to have trained under her. I intend to continue with my training to reach my goal of running a marathon someday! Thank you Coach!!

Our daughter started working with Bridgette over the summer to prepare her for high school cross country in the fall. She was a solid JV runner the year before and after the first meet of the season our daughter was clearly on the varsity team. Her average pace dropped well over a minute. Coach Bridgette went the extra mile by researching her race schedule and built a plane to prepare her for the big races of the year. My daughter also appreciated that while Bridgette was running with her she would also talk with her about the mental and strategic aspects of racing. We couldn't be happier and are looking forward to working with her to prepare for track season.
