More About Coach Brian

Brian Sullivan, MA, completed his master's degree in Sport and Performance Psychology at the University of Denver and his bachelor's degree from Davidson College. Brian's interest in performance psychology stems from his experience as a Division 1 Basketball player. At Davidson, Brian helped lead his team to the NCAA tournament, earning multiple all-conference awards along the way. Upon graduation, Brian played professionally, competing throughout Europe before playing his final season in Australia. Prior to entering the field of mental performance consulting, Brian spent 3 seasons as the Director of Player Development for a Division 1 basketball program.

Currently, Brian is pursuing a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology. Throughout Brian's graduate studies, he has worked with high school and college student-athletes as well as coaches and is passionate about helping people enhance their performance while enjoying their performance pursuits more thoroughly. Brian leans on his education and training as well as his experience playing and coaching to help understand and meet the needs of performers.

I was an All-A10 performer at Davidson College and helped lead my team to the NCAA tournament. I finished my career with 1,565 total points which ranks first among transfers at Davidson and 12th on the all-time scoring list. I am ranked second at Davidson behind Steph Curry in Single Season 3-pointers made and Career 3-pointers made. I graduated as the NCAA's active leader in 3-pointers made with 351 in 125 games.

After graduating from College I played professionally in Germany, Czech Republic and Australia. I led the Czech league in scoring at 21.5 ppg until getting injured. In Australia I helped lead my team to the NBL1 West final and was top 3 in MVP votes.

Client Reviews

Coach Brian worked with our high school son while in-season and really talked to him to understand what he wanted to get out training. He did a great job teaching him and equipping him with some excercises he can practice on own. He connected by pointing to specific players to watch on how they accomplish certain plays that were really helpful. He also did a great job talking about the mental aspects of decision making on plays. Very approachable easy to talk to coach.

My daughter has been enjoying working with Coach Brian. He brings a ton of experience and is a great teacher. My daughter is in 7th grade and he has done good job communicating and working with her to elevate her game. Highly recommended!

Brian is an excellent coach and my son enjoyed the session! My son learned some skills that he was able to apply to his training and in his next game!

Great coach!!!!

We were very impressed with Brian and Eli is really looking forward to his next session. It’s rewarding as parents to see a coach making such a positive difference in our child and we can see that Coach Brian loves what he does.

Coach Brian has excellent technical skills and is fantastic at communicating those skills in a way that my son can immediately put into action. He's definitely improving his game.

Coach Brian has been great! In just the first few training sessions, he has developed a great relationship with my son and his and techniques have already started to make a positive difference. Thanks Coach Brian!

Brian has been extremely engaged in working to directly pinpoint the skills and basketball acumen that my son was needing to develop as he worked this way through trying out for high school basketball. He met him where his skills were and started to raise him up. Great listener and able to get through with good examples and excellent insights.

Coach Brian was an excellent choice for our son who is trying out for high school basketball. We felt a one on one coach would boost his confidence prior to try outs. He responded right away and connected with our son immediately upon meeting him. He took the time prior to their first session to get to know Our som and understand his goals. During their session he identified our son’s strengths and opportunities and gave him some useful tips. Our son is now eagerly looking forward to his next session with coach Brian and based on our sons response and feedback we know we made the right choice in choosing Brian.

Coach Brian was very positive and tailored the session to meet my daughter's goals. He was very well prepared and had great drills which my daughter could then practice on her own. I would definitely recommend Coach Brian to any athlete looking to improve.

Coach Brian is very professional and knowledgeable, working out with him is super engaging and I learned a lot just from the first session!

Brian is great with my 9 year old daughter. Very patient and keeps her engaged by making the lesson fun! Highly recommend!

I could not recommend Coach Brian more highly!!! My 10 year old son has basketball fever and plays in the local leagues here in Denver. While I greatly appreciate the volunteer coaches who run his team, they just don't have the time nor the experience to truly teach the game. Coach Brian emphasizes the fundamentals of the game while bridging the drills into fun activities; my son just can't get enough and both his skill level & enjoyment of the game have grown exponentially. My 12 year old daughter, who also plays basketball, has noticed how much better her brother has gotten since he's been working with Coach Brian and now she wants to work with him as well.

If you're considering a private coach for your son or daughter, or for yourself, you will be absolutely thrilled with Brian!!

Brian is patient and encouraging! My son is only 8 and doesn’t have much experience, but I already see so much improvement and he had fun while learning. We’re looking forward to our next session!

Brian is a great coach! He is very knowledgable in all aspects of the game and makes his workouts fun. I can already see improvement in my son.
