More About Coach Brandon

Currently, Nyack College DII Men’s Soccer Assistant Coach. I’ve had the privilege of coaching little leagues and PDL youth development teams like Westchester Flames.

As an athlete, you're looking at a PDL Champion of his youth academy, who then went to Florida and played nationals back in 2009. I also was given the opportunity to join Real Madrid's training camp in Madrid, Spain the following year 2010. During college, I developed from playing National Junior College Athletic Association at Westchester Community College to NCAA DIII for Lehman College. At Lehman, I was named the CUNYAC Player of the Week and the ECAC Division III Metro Offensive Player of the Week. By the end of the season, I was named a CUNYAC Second Team All-Star. After my season in 2015 with Lehman College, I was recruited and played for NCAA DII Nyack Men's Soccer Team for 2 years.

As a coach, I take into consideration what the athlete needs to work in. That obviously changes when working with groups/teams because we need to focus on the growth of the team. There will also be various drills that are to help progress the player individually during team trainings. I would always start with 10-15 minute warm ups. After that there will always be basic drills that include passing, trapping, or shooting. I will break down each training session considering what the player needs. For example, the player needs work in agility, I will place cones or corner flags or ladders and have the player go through them with and without the ball. I always observe the quality and skill of the player that way I can prepare a specific plan for the player to grow and progress in his skills and tactical knowledge of the game. There will always be a little bit of everything: tactics, drills (passing, dribbling, trapping and shooting), and stamina which is very important for this game.

Client Reviews

Coach Brandon did an excellent job on my son’s first trial session. As our our previous coach had to leave the area for work purposes he recommend coach Brandon and I couldn’t have been happier. My son, who is 7 and can be challenging at times (as any seven year old can be) clearly bought into coach Brandon’s teaching and worked very hard on specific regimented drills that were focused on his technique. He left exhausted but very enthusiastic and he can’t wait for his next session. Brandon is patient yet clear in his direction and was able to push my son to push himself.

Overall great experience which we will continue with additional sessions.

Organized and well prepared for training sessions. Works on all aspects of the game. I would definitely recommend Coach Brandon!

My son loved his training session. Brandon was really positive and my son felt like he learned a lot!!

Coach Brandon was great. My son loved working with him and felt that he was really positive. They did many drills together and had a fantastic session.

Brandon has become a leader inside and outside the pitch. He has the courage and integrity to confront issues in order to benefit his team. He is an exceptional leader.
