More About Coach Benjamin

I have coached various age groups 5-18-year-olds both in the USA and back home in the United Kingdom where I was an FA qualified coach. I am on my way to be a USSF D licensed coach(unfortunately covid has. I also have a Masters degree in Applied Exercise Science which has made me well versed in Physiology, nutrition and psychology related to soccer.

I played university Futsal back in the United Kingdom with various of my teammates going on to play professional and semi-professional soccer I was a 7-year starter for my secondary school's soccer team and played for two club teams on the weekends . Injuries at 17 prevented me from exploring collegiate opportunities here in the United States . This is when I turned my attention to coaching and strength and conditioning.

This is highly dependent on the individual. What are the players' strengths, what do they need to work on? Each session will be unique, game-like and the purpose of the session will be to improve the player as a soccer player.
Typically 1-2 hour sessions.
Warm-up following a Ramp Protocol and dynamic stretches getting the player ready for their session- I use this time to talk to the players, how are they doing, any injuries, etc.
Drills that are games like that focus on technique, off the ball movement, and components of fitness that benefit soccer performance.
Cool down, static stretches- prevent injuries.

Client Reviews

Coach Ben was a great coach he was very encouraging and had a great balance of supporting and challenging. My son enjoyed it.

From a parent’s perspective:
Coach Ben is very personable and professional. He has the best interest of the athlete in mind.

I was amazed at the many stations he had set up for different drills. He truly planned out the training session to tailor our daughter’s needs. The Weeks that were full of school games and practices, Ben prepared recovery sessions. Those weeks that were light on school events had Ben organizing more challenging workouts for the training session.

Our daughter gained confidence, better foot skills, quicker react mode, and flexibility.

We would definitely recommend Coach Ben as a personal Soccer Trainer.

From my first session with coach Ben, it was clear that being under his guidance that my skill would move to another level. During my 9 months working under him, training was always more challenging than previously. Coach Ben made training engaging and improved my fitness by disguising conditioning with ball work! Coach Ben helped me fix my striking and passing mechanics. Coach Ben also improved my tactical awareness through analysis of premier league matches. Coach Ben always motivated me to improve and worked with me on my self-confidence which has helped me on the pitch to make better decisions
I worked under coach Ben for 9 months at Edukick soccer academy in Erie PA. Coach Ben was a mentor to me. He helped me improve my football ability and improved my aerobic and anaerobic capacity greatly! I could go to Coach Ben with any problems whether it was soccer-related or not. He is a great mentor! Coach Ben realised that I was struggling with my self-believe and worked on it with me. I improved as both a soccer player and a person under his guidance. He is the best coach I ever worked under.
I was coached by Coach Ben in Erie, PA for 9 months as part of a soccer program known as Edukick. Coach Ben was my technical coach. I believe that coach Ben gave me the platform to develop; technically, physically, and mentally. Coach Ben was good at focussing on what I needed to work on as opposed to training me in things I had already mastered. I am a more complete soccer player for having spent time working with him. Coach Ben did baseline fitness testing with me, at day 1, and further testing 3 months, 6 months, and at 9 months during my time with him. My soccer-related fitness improved drastically! Coach Ben also helped me to understand the game better doing hours of analysis of professional soccer, as well as counseling on nutrition and psychology related to performance. I am now in a soccer academy in Florida and am preparing to become a college athlete.
