More About Coach Antwain

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from Johnson C. Smith University May 6, 2012. After graduating I took an internship at Winston-Salem State University in Athletics. My duties were to organize events for half-time games, and I contacted potential sponsors for Head Coaches to discuss opportunities of partnering with WSSU Athletics. I then obtained my certification as a Certified Sports Agent from Sports Management Worldwide, in February 2013. Training included: agent regulations & player association legalities, contract negotiation, endorsements, sponsorships, ethics, collective bargaining agreements, draft preparation, marketing, and recruiting. (Mentored by NFL Agent, Dr. Lynn Lashbrook)

I have over 19 years of organized sports involvement as an athlete, coach and team manager from prep school to the collegiate level. Coached 20+ High School students in gaining opportunities to get into college on academic or athletic scholarships. I look forward to bringing my experience and passion for organized sports to your organization.

Coached 20+ High School students in gaining opportunities to get into college on academic or athletic scholarships. Negotiated contracts valued between $2,000 - $50,000 per month. Helped over 400+ athletes in NCAA D1 and D2 divisions to play professionally (semi-professional basketball) in Europe, Australia, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Canada, and the USA. Participated in workouts in the with NBL Canada, Dallas Mavericks, and the Texas Legends. Closed 450 sports deals, majority conducted in Australia.

A typical session will be:

Endurance: You have to be in shape if you plan on being an athlete in general for any sport.
Footwork: (1 on 1 Ball Tough Drill)-This is a great drill that emphasizes ball rips and strong pivots to create space from the defense. As a result, players will get stronger with the ball and turnovers will be reduced.
Drop Step Counter: 1. Drop Step Towards Baseline, Inside Pivot, Jump Shot, 2. Drop Step Towards Middle, Inside Pivot, Jump Shot
Ball Handling/eye coordination: Dribble While Catching Tennis Balls.
Rebounding: (Taps Drill): This drill improves ball control and rebounding around the hoop. You also improve your jumping.
Ray Allen Shooting Drill: There are 5 lines. From each line, there are 5 spots. This is approximately the distance on each shot: Spot 1 - 4, Feet, Spot 2 - 8 Feet, Spot 3 - 12 Feet, Spot 4 - 16 Feet, and Spot 5 - 20 Feet. You have to make a shot from spot 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 in 5 consecutive shots in order to advance to the next line. If you miss from any of the spots, you start over in that line. If you miss a shot in line 3, you start over from line 3. You don't go back to line 1. Your goal is to finish all 5 lines in 2 minutes.
Free Throws: End the session shooting 10 free throws. You have to make 50%-70% of your shots before leaving.

Client Reviews

Very professional. Knows his stuff. Very highly recommend Coach Antwain. He is an excellent coach

I've been working with Antwain for about almost two years. He is always working for me, sending out my information to different teams. He also keeps in touch & communicates with me to let me know what he is doing and who he is connecting with for me. I was signed with an agent, before him, for almost a year and she got me nothing. I connected with Antwain and within a few months he had a job for me. I'm grateful to have met and connected with him.
Antwain has shown the utmost professionalism and work ethic needed from an agent, he is relentless in his pursuit of getting the best work and exposure for his clients; prospective clients should be inclined to pursue Mr. Peay for representation.
Antwain is a dedicated basketball enthusiast and has generously been willing to use his time to help many young basketball players to become better players as well as to become better individuals. We need a lot more people like Antwain so that the next generation has someone to look up to.
I had the pleasure of working with Antwain at Camp Chipinaw during the summer of 2014. Antwain is a knowledgeable individual with an unrivaled passion for the game of basketball. He is personable and approachable which allows him to be successful. The enthusiasm and dedication he shows makes him an outstanding person to work with. I am appreciative for the opportunity I had to work with him and I am hopeful that we can again work together in future endeavors.
Great guy! Works hard for his clients!
