More About Coach Anthony
To be the best you have to be willing to outwork anyone and everyone! Being a coach at Saint Benedicts and a recently (may 2017) retired professional player you see tons of talent and very athletic players, but what separates the best players is the work they put in. I usually work with kids between the ages of 9-17 because that is where you truly begin to mature athletically and really need to fine tune skills.
As a player I attended Plainfield high school and was ranked the number 10 player in the state of New Jersey for the 2007 class. I also attended the adidas all American camp. For college I attended Niagara University where I was on the all freshman team. As a senior I was 2nd team all conference and also led the country and steals (3.4) to go along with being a defensive all American and defensive player of the year in the maac conference. As a professional I played in Estonia, Hungary and also Greece, playing domestic and also internationally in leagues such as the vtb league and also the Baltic league.
When working with me you have to come prepared, you will be pushed. The first 10 minutes is 10 minutes of strictly sharpening your tools with the ball. Figure 8's, side to side crosses, dribble pound outs, etc. Then we move on to what you need done specifically as a player, so your weaknesses to make them become strengths. Then we move on to putting it all together through a series of drills wether it be from the block or from half court/full court depends on the position you play. Finishing with free throws and some core work.
