More About Coach Anthony

I am a movement specialist that specializes on the defensive side of the ball, especially the front 7. I love working with offensive and defensive lineman as well as linebackers.

I led the strength & conditioning for the Terriers and will also coach the defensive line for one season in 2016

Prior to joining Hiram, I served at Alfred State (N.Y.) for one year, where I coordinated the strength & conditioning program and coached the defensive line. I helped the Pioneers make the transition to Division III from the junior college level. During the 2015 season, I coached part of the defense that posted a program record seven sacks in a game.

Prior to Alfred State, I spent three seasons at Ave Maria (Fla.), where I served as the strength & conditioning coach, as well as coaching the linebackers and defensive line. I helped lead the Gyrenes to an 8-2 record in just their third season of play. In 2014, the defense led the SUN Conference in sacks with 27 and finished the season ranked seventh in the nation in third down defense, holding the opposition to a .289 conversion rate.

I was a two-year letterwinner and starter for Northern Michigan, where I played defensive end. During my senior season, I posted 45 tackles, with seven coming for a loss and was chosen to represent Northern Michigan in the BSN Showcase in Akron. I graduated from Northern Michigan with a degree in physical education.

Prior to Northern Michigan, I attended Joliet (Ill.) Junior College, where I ranked fifth in the NJCAA in total tackles in 2008.

Following my collegiate playing career in 2013, I spent one season playing for the Florida Tarpons of the Professional Indoor Football League. I also coached the NAIA All-Star Team in a contest against the NCAA Division III All-Stars in 2013.

I am a nationally ranked powerlifter, where I compete in the 275 and 308 pound weight class. I have participated in the XPC Finals twice.

I hold a USAW weightlifting certification, and I am also a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

I played defensive end collegiately at Northern Michigan University. During my senior season I recorded 45 tackles (7 for a loss), and I was chosen to represent NMU in the BSN Showcase in Arkon, OH. I graduated from NMU with a physical education degree.
Prior to attending Northern Michigan, I was an NJCAA All-American at Joliet Junior College. In 2008 I was 5th in the NJCAA in solo tackles. Following my collegiate playing career in 2013, I spent one season playing for the Florida Tarpons of the Professional Indoor Football League.

We will start each session with an intense Dynamic Warm up. We will work on basic fundamentals for the first week or so. We will also work getting into the proper stance, start, and change of direction. We will evolve into pass rush fundamentals, and we will learn how to take on blocks in the run game. We will finish each workout with some sort of conditioning, working on mental and physical toughness. Each session is assigned a specific focus of either linear or lateral speed as well.

My son looks forward to his training with Coach Anthony! He is so excited to learn more every week with him. Highly recommended! Thanks

Coach anthony was excellent. He gave my son a lot of helpful advice which he is putting to great use. Scheduled another session with him

I recently started my son and his friend with coach Anthony. They absolutely adore him. They have taught them a lot of things in such a short time. Upon leaving they couldn't stop talking about the training and what all they are going to learn. He treated them fantastic and can't wait to go back. My son and his buddy are 12 almost 13 and they have a lot to learn and Anthony I believe is the man that will show them not only on the field but off. I highly recommend Anthony.

He's awesome he works around schedules. He's a great person and a great coach I can't wait to use new techniques I've learned on the field. I also felt like I've in reason in speed and weight. THIS IS YOUR GUY RIGHT HERE!
