More About Coach Andrew

I have coached baseball players for 4 years now. I have coached players from the ages of 10-25. I am a former Division 1 collegiate pitcher and designated hitter and know what it takes to make it to the college level. I have coached several teams part time, but usually work with athletes one on one. I typically work with high school athletes that have aspirations of playing ball in college. I also assist athletes in the college recruiting process and have networked with several college coaches that I have met over the years from playing. I also offer baseball specific weight training to athletes above the age of 13. I specialize in pitching and work with pitchers on how to increase velocity while maintaining accuracy and proper fundamentals.

In high school, I was Carroll County Player of the Year 2012, 1st Team All-State 2012, 1st Team All-Conference & County 2010-2012, Maryland Crab Claw Classic Top Prospect 2011, Team Maryland Selection 2011-2012. I played college ball at the Division 1 level for Gardner-Webb University in the Big South Conference where I pitched and DH'd. I have competed against teams like Clemson, UNC, Coastal Carolina, and South Carolina.

A client can expect the session to be productive and informative. I start by going through a plyometric warmup to increase blood flow and decrease the chances for injury. I often take the athlete through a resistance band routine that will get their arm warmed up and ready to throw if that is the goal of the session. I have had Tommy John Surgery and understand the importance of a proper warmup routine before throwing. Following the warm up, the athlete will begin a customized throwing program or hitting program that will be created for each player. The athlete will run sprints to cool down and increase fast twitch muscle activation following every session. All sessions will be done outside.

Client Reviews

Coach Andrew was my son's first trainer! He was able to connect well with my son, reliable, and gave him great strategies on how to improve his playing. He has been able to improve his performance greatly with the help of coach Andrew.

Excellent coach and knowledge of the game skillset. My son said he had a lot of fun working with Andrew and can't wait for his next session and we were most impressed with how his hitting improved so quickly.

Coach Andrew is awesome! Just after two sessions I see a difference in my son’s pitching ability.

Will cannot wait to work on the hitting tips that Coach Andrew provided. Will is already a better player after one session. Look forward to more.
