More About Coach Allex

Allex Austin is an athletic performance educator and competed professionally in both Basketball and High Jump. Training along side Gunnar Peterson (celebrity trainer) and Chris Johnson (NBA Trainer), Allex is now providing professional training for you! Allex Austin paid his way through college with athletic scholarships. Earning his Masters's degree in Education Leadership, graduating with honors from the University of Antelope Valley, where he competed for the UAV Men’s Basketball team who finished 9th in the Nation for NAIA. Allex earned his bachelor's in Corporate Communications from Baylor University, where he signed a full athletic scholarship to compete in High Jump (track and field) and was shooting guard for the Baylor Bears Men’s basketball team. It was January 2012 at Baylor University where Allex suffered what was supposed to be a “career-ending injury”. A broken sesamoid in his left (planting) foot. After an unsuccessful surgical procedure in the summer of 2012, Allex accepted the unfortunate change and adapted. With the launch of fitness equipment Total Body Board, Allex found passion in networking amongst the biggest name of the fitness industry. While finding a newfound career path, Allex decided to graduate from Baylor University a year early and begin working full-time with Total Body Board. In 2014, Allex underwent his second surgical procedure to repair his left foot. This time, the surgery was a success. After graduating in 2015, Allex began training at So High Sports and Fitness with Olympic Gold medalist, and record holder Charles Austin. By 2017, Allex earned second place at USATF Nationals and was top seven high jumpers in the United States. With the combined High Jump performances between Allex and his father Charles Austin, the two made history, and became “The best HJ family ever”, with a merged height of 15-3 (4.65m). With the love of the game (basketball) still fielding inside, Allex remained ready for a chance to get back on the hardwood. That opportunity came in 2019 when Allex was given an opportunity to fulfill his collegiate basketball career and earn his Masters at the University of Antelope Valley. Due to the pandemic, the University of Antelope Valley basketball season ended after winning their first game at the NAIA National Tournament. Through the pandemic, preparation for the next opportunity never stopped, and eventually, Allex was drafted to play in the CVBL, averaging 31.2 points per game and 16 rebounds per game.

Coach Allex is great! He worked alongside to give great direction and feedback. He assessed my 12 year old son’s strengths and area of improvement and worked through various drills to give lots of reps and confidence.
