More About Coach Allen

I have worked under Chuck Smith as an assistant/intern at Wellness Performance Institute in Duluth. However I have not worked anywhere as a coach neither do I have any industry certifications. At WPI, i worked with NFL bound college football players preparing for the NFL combine. These players were from schools such as Georgia Tech, Clemson and UGA.

I formerly played football for the nationally known and prestiges Georgia Southern University. I played as a wide receiver at the division 1 college level. I am well aware of and familiar with the training regiments that it takes to build one's self into a superior athlete. Training for speed, agility and explosion was and is essential for me as a wide receiver, and I will implement that same principle into the preparation of other athletes. During my Georgia Southern career, I along with my team competed in three semi-final division 1 games from 2010-2012. In 2013, we capped the season off with a victory over the powerhouse Florida Gators. My position group was considered to be the best group of wide receivers in the Southern Conference.

In a typical session with me, a client can expect to compete and train as if he or she intends to dominate their sport in every facet. My clients will push themselves and work at an above average pace. This creates an attitude of greatness. A client should also expect to work smart as well. There is no sense in pushing one to the extreme if the specific area they are looking to improve in isn't being isolated and focused on. Whatever area the athlete/person needs focus in thats what I will help them do.

To start off a session, athletes must do warm-up consisting of a 4-5 minute stretch, dynamic stretch, and ab-work. Afterward that client will work speed and agility along with position specific drills. Some weight lifting can and maybe implemented if necessary.

Client Reviews

I'd definitely recommend Coach Allen. He is clearly very experienced and put together a fun but challenging workout. I'm confident that my wife and I will see considerable improvement in running performance.

It has been 8yrs since I ran marathons. I am in the worst shape of my life and was not looking forward to my first session with Coach Allen. In 1 session he has helped me overcome the fear of getting back to work. He knows my goals and is ready to get me back to the starting line. Thanks Coach!

I've just finished 3 sessions with Coach Allen and he has been great! He took the time to understand my goals and really work with me to develop a plan to hit my targets. He is also very good about getting feedback after each session to make sure I stay on track. Coach Allen is also very positive and encouraging which has been a big help for me since I am getting back in shape after a four year hiatus. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a fitness coach/trainer.

Allen has done a great job even in this short time. I've been coaching soccer, basketball, wrestling, fencing, crossfit and a few others for a while now, so I'm used to getting athletes over their issues. But I could not get my son to run. I've tried just about everything I could think of and finally decided to try coachup again (soccer last time). I found Allen and he was willing to find a location that worked and even take on 2 of my other kids. After the second session I could see a difference with Evan at his soccer game. He wasn't the fastest but I could tell he was getting "how to run". I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out in the weeks to come.
Allen knows his stuff and his able to work with kids in a way that gets them moving and learning. I'd recommend him if you are needing some speed coaching.

It went real great and Desmond Lowery loved it.
