More About Coach Alex

I have trained youth basketball all over the world. I have coached youth teams in Santiago Chile, Luxembourg, Chemnitz Germany, and Tokyo/Nagoya Japan. I have also been a trainer with Give N Go Hoops and Jump Athletics in Phoenix. I helped run youth camps and design training programs for summer camps while at Seattle University.

I have played 9 seasons as a professional basketball player. I played Division I basketball in the U.S. for Seattle University from 2009 to 2011. I have played in Santiago Chile and Mexico in South America, Luxembourg, Germany, and France in Europe and in Japan. In 2013 I was the MVP of the NBDL in Japan. I lead the league in Field goal percentage for two seasons and was voted a top 5 player in 2013. In 2017 and 2018 I was again voted top 5 player in Japans B3 league. This past season (2017/2018) I lead my team in scoring and rebounding. I also lead them to a regular season championship and was the MVP in the B2/B3 challenge game that helped them move up to the B2 devision. I have resigned for next season to play for Tokyo Hachioji Trains in Japans B2 league.

A client can expect personalized training tailor-made for the individual to help them achieve their goals through hard work and dedication. I will focus on the fundamentals as well as teach complex drills that will translate directly into a players game on the court.

Client Reviews

My son was looking to sharpen his skills for high school and we went looking for a coach. After searching for a coach we decided to contact Alex. From the very first lesson my son and I saw improvements. Alex was patient, challenging and very engaged during the lesson. My son loved every lesson. I know your off playing overseas now Alex but please come back... THANK YOU AGAIN.

Coach Alex made my son feel very welcomed. He is very knowledgeable and very patient. Such a great guy & teacher. I am very pleased and thankful to have found him.

Coach Alex, really cares about kids and youth. He takes the time to not only help their game but encourage and bring the best out of them.

Coach Alex is doing a great job with our son. He challenges him in a positive way, and we've seen improvement in our son's performance after only a few sessions. Alex is on time and communicates well. Our son looks forward to the training sessions!

Coach Alex was a great fit for my 14 year old son. He was extremely organized and patient. He worked at the level my son was comfortable with, yet provided the encouragement my son needed to dig deeper, give more and exceed even his own expectations. A big thanks to Coach Alex for a great training session!

I had the opportunity of working with Alex early in his career. He is one of the hardest working players I've ever worked with. He is driven and focused on success. When he sets his mind on something he makes it happen. If he wants to train the next generation of players I have no doubt he will be the best trainer he can possibly be.
