Coaching workout plans will be tailored to the needs/talent level of the athlete. All sessions will begin with a discussion when athletes/parents have the opportunity to give requests/provide suggestions and ask questions. After that, the workout transitions to a quick warm up/stretch followed by about 5-10 minutes of stick skill drills. I prefer to work with attack and midfielders, but can help defenseman as well. Drills will incorporate all facets of the game. Common drills may include ground balls, stick protection, checking, defensive techniques, face-offs, dodging, passing, shooting, and finishing. Throughout the session there will be constant feedback and will wrap up with a review during the cool-down/stretch period. This is also the time where athletes/parents can ask questions about off the field type activities. For instance, weight-training, proper nutrition, supplements, and the college-recruiting process. I am more than happy to provide suggestions and answer questions about military service academies. Overall, sessions will vary depending on the position and skill level of the athlete. All workouts should be enjoyable yet challenging. The main goal of every session is to elevate the athlete's game on a mental and physical level. Personally, I am an easy-going coach that enjoys mentoring and developing all athletes.
