Sara´s passion for where movement and health meet began at a young age. She was a ballet and modern dancer for over ten years, and then studied and worked in medicine for over five, which instructs her unique teaching style. As a Yoga Teacher, she specializes in postural health, whole body strength, stability, and endurance for your daily life demands. Her teaching focuses on allowing the body to strengthen as a whole, giving a nod to the Alexander Technique, which she continues to study with an AT teacher. Sara guides you to become self-aware of, and then un-learn habitual ways of moving and ¨posturing¨ that can cause stiffness, strain, or injury.
She received her 200-hour certification through Akasha Yoga School, studying with Reverend Anthe Kelley, E-RYT, as well as training in restorative and restful yoga, with an additional 100 hours training since June of 2015, she has been teaching yoga in class settings and working one-on-one with students full time since June 2014. Sara continues her education in yoga, movement, posture, and athleticism to help you reach your goals and your potential as efficiently as possible.
Students express that after practicing with Sara they feel taller, lighter, expanded, and can move more effortlessly.
Sara consciously strives to study and teach a style of yoga that is accessible to people from all walks of life, of all identities, all shapes, and all yoga ¨levels¨, even if one may feel they are at level zero ;-)
