More About Coach Tim

Tim Tisch is the premier pitching coach in San Diego County, with a career that has spanned nearly two decades. He was drafted out of Mesa College by the Chicago White Sox organization, where he threw a no hitter against the St Louis Cardinals organization. Due to his impressive performances on the mound and the guidance of some of the league's best pitching instructors, Tim became a top MLB prospect. His professional career next brought him to the St Paul Saints where he won the Northern League Championship with a personal record of 10-2.

After his professional career ended, Tim's passion for coaching began. He has worked with some of the elite travel ball organizations, including the San Diego Saints and Del Mar Powerhouse. Tim is currently the Varsity Pitching Coach at The Bishop's School in La Jolla. In his first season, he helped lead the Knights to the CIF Championship Game.

With Tim's experience he is able to coach at all levels, including development of youth players, preparing high schoolers for college baseball and working with professionals in the off season.

I got drafted out of San Diego Mesa College in 2002 by the Chicago White Sox. I threw a no-hitter against the St. Louis Cardinals organization. I was a top MLB prospect. I won a championship with St. Paul Saints with a personal record of 10-2 as a starting pitcher. I have 5 years total of professional baseball experience.

My session includes strength and conditioning specific to baseball movements.
Fielding- taking ground balls with two hands, working on back hand and forehand, and proper footwork.
Hitting- hitting off a tee, side toss, and facing live pitching.
Pitching- start out with arm bands, the rocker drill, towel drill, long toss, pitching on flat ground as well as off the mound.

Coach Tim is an awesome coach. We went home after our first session and practice the easy and fun technique he showed my son. Coach Tim was good at communicating and explaining things. Tim is top shelf and I would recommend him to our friends and family.

I'm probably 4x as old as many of Tim's regular players. Even then, I learned a ton from just our first session. He found things that I was doing and offered quick actions to improve which were easy to implement. He was positive and encouraging. I pitched this last weekend and it was easily the best I've felt in terms of form, control and overall effectiveness.

We met with Tim to brush up on some things and he was excellent. He knows and loves baseball.

I can't even begin to tell you how amazing Tim is. After 2 lessons, he had my infield batting child hitting to the fence, as well as improving his pitching, teaching him new pitches, fixing his balance, the list goes on and on. He is excellent at explaining to the kids the why of what they are doing as well as correcting technique. I wish we lived here so we could use him year round!!

My 12 year old son has done two sessions with Tim and both he and I are very happy. We have used a coach from CoachUp before and were quite happy, however I was looking for a "no kidding" pitching coach for my son. Tim is definitely a "no kidding" pitching coach and has already identified where my son needs improvement and we have seen drastic changes in two sessions. He interacts very well with my son and we will be using Tim for many more lessons. We can't wait to implement his improvements this coming Little League season and I highly recommend him for those that are serious about improving your kid's pitching as well as teaching the proper mechanics.
