As a coach, my journey is a unique blend of past and present. While I'm dedicated to guiding aspiring athletes, my own playing career is far from over. I continue to compete in the lower leagues in San Diego, California, where I apply the very principles I instill in my players – dedication, hard work, and passion for the game.

My transition into coaching represents a natural progression from years of top-level fitness and rigorous training sessions. I've been fortunate to learn from the best and experience firsthand the demands of the sport. Now, as a coach, I'm committed to passing on this knowledge and instilling in my players the same level of dedication and determination that has defined my journey.

This dual role allows me to bridge the gap between playing and coaching, providing a unique perspective that benefits both myself and those I mentor. It's a journey that combines the thrill of competition with the joy of nurturing the next generation of athletes.

With a soccer journey that began at the early age of 5, my love for the beautiful game has been a lifelong passion. Hailing from Brazil, where football is more than a sport, it's a way of life, I acquired most of my skills on the futsal courts, navigating the fast-paced and technically demanding world of Brazilian youth futsal leagues during their teenage years.

As I transitioned into adulthood, I set my sights on the United States, embarking on a 4-year semi-professional soccer career. I embraced the challenge of competing in leagues like the UPSL (United Premier Soccer League) and NPSL (National Premier Soccer League), showcasing skills, dedication, and tenacity on the pitch.

Session Duration: 60 minutes

1. Dynamic Warm-Up (15 minutes)
- Jog around the field for 3 minutes.
- High knees, butt kicks, hamstrings swipes, and leg swings for 7 minutes.

2. Ladder Work (10 minutes)
- Quick ladder drills to enhance agility, coordination, and improve footwork.
- Exercises may include ladder sprints, lateral movements, and 2-foot hops.

3. Passing Sequence (15 minutes)
- Set up a passing drill with cones focusing on firm and accurate passes.
- Work on short and long passes using both feet.
- Vary the distance and use turns to challenge control.

4. First Touch Practice (15 minutes)
- Passing the ball with various techniques (inside of the foot, outside of the foot, thigh, chest).
- Control the ball with their first touch adjusting the body.
- Receive and control a long distance ball with their first touch and return it accurately.
- Encourage quick decision-making and precision.

5. Shooting on Target (15 minutes)
- Take shots on goal from different angles and distances.
- Goalkeepers work on their shot-stopping skills and positioning.

6. Conditioning (10 minutes)
- Interval running: Sprint for 30 seconds, jog or walk back for 30 seconds.
- Repeat the cycle for 8 minutes to improve cardiovascular fitness.

7. Cool Down (10 minutes)
- Gentle jogging or walking to bring the heart rate down.
- Static stretching focusing on major muscle groups to improve flexibility and prevent injuries.
